Notes of a civilian ‘scientist’ H. West:

Observations:

- It shows no sign of sentience

- When not aware of prey, it appears to just aimlessly linger about, completely idle

- It remains very quiet until it spots prey, upon which it instantly starts making rather animalistic noises such as howling and guttural growling

- It moves slowly and unpredictably, as if not in complete control of its body

- Upon reaching its prey it can move surprisingly fast

- It can be tenacious in its hunt, not stopping until reaching its prey or forced to stop

- It eats animals, but animals seem to be immune to the virus as they don’t reanimate

- It won’t even consider eating prepared meat, human or animal

- It doesn’t actually smell until it feeds: the meat rots in its stomach since its digestive system does not appear to work. Feed it enough and it regurgitates all the contents of its stomach. Note to self: for the love of God do NOT feed it

- Its senses seem to have dulled: it only reacts to discernible stimuli, e.g. loud noises and exaggerated movement

- Exception to the rule: it seems somehow unnaturally drawn to the living

- Out in the wild they are seen moving in packs, 'hordes’, but when you confine more of them together with no exit, they seem to turn on each other rather quickly, tearing each other apart.

R.I.P. Bub :(
